BFCM 2026 Paid Social Checklist: Week by Week from 3 November to Cyber Monday
Priya Raghunathan
E-commerce Performance Manager
This BFCM 2026 paid social checklist starts today, 3 November, and runs week by week to Cyber Monday. Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November 2026, so you have about three and a half weeks. Each week below has a short list of dated tasks for DTC brands and agencies running Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Taboola and Outbrain at the same time.
Quick answer: Week of 3 November: fix tracking, account limits and payment methods. Week of 9 November: produce creative and submit ads for review. Week of 16 November: schedule budgets and set guardrail rules. 23 to 26 November: switch on in steps and freeze edits. 27 to 30 November: watch thresholds and rotate creative. December: exclude buyers and review profit.
Every decision you make in early November is one you will not have to make at 11pm on Black Friday with a client on the phone. If you have not audited your accounts yet, run our DTC ad account audit before peak season this week, alongside the first block of tasks.
Key dates for BFCM 2026
The BFCM 2026 calendar follows US Thanksgiving, which lands on Thursday 26 November 2026. Black Friday is the next day, the weekend runs on 28 and 29 November, and Cyber Monday closes the event on 30 November. Many retailers open early-access offers the week before, so the real paid window is closer to two weeks.
| Week | Dates (2026) | Main goal | Deadline |
|---|---|---|---|
| Week 1 | 3 to 8 November | Tracking, account health, offer brief | Test purchase passes on every platform |
| Week 2 | 9 to 15 November | Creative, catalogues, ad review | First sale ads submitted |
| Week 3 | 16 to 22 November | Budgets, scheduling, rules, early access | All sale ads approved by 20 November |
| Launch week | 23 to 26 November | Switch on in steps, edit freeze | Rules active, budgets scheduled |
| BFCM | 27 to 30 November | Watch, rotate, protect | Sale campaigns end on time |
| After | 1 to 14 December | Exclusions, retargeting, profit review | Client wrap-up sent |

Put this guide to work
Launch, test and scale campaigns on six ad platforms from one place, with Wavo, the AI copilot, at your side. Free for 14 days.
Week 1 (3 to 8 November): tracking, limits and the offer
The first week fixes the plumbing, because a broken purchase event or a declined card on Black Friday costs more than any creative choice.
Tracking and UTMs
- Place a test order through an ad link on every platform and confirm the purchase reaches the pixel or tag, your Shopify or WooCommerce store and your analytics.
- Check that UTM parameters survive redirects, discount-code landing pages and checkout apps. Our guide to building a UTM tracking system for paid ads covers the naming rules worth fixing now.
- Write down which conversion event each campaign optimises for, so nobody changes it mid-sale.
Account health, spending limits and payment methods
Peak spend can hit limits set for an ordinary month. Review account spending limits on every platform and raise them deliberately, with the client's sign-off; our explainer on the ad account spending limit shows how they stop delivery. Check expiry dates, card limits and a backup payment method on every account. Resolve outstanding policy warnings through the official review channels now, and confirm who has admin access over the weekend.
The offer brief
Fix the offer per day (early access, Black Friday, weekend, Cyber Monday), the hero products and the stock you can sell. Creative production in week 2 depends on it.
Week 2 (9 to 15 November): creative, catalogues and ad review
Week 2 is production, and it ends with the first sale ads in review, because review time is the one deadline you do not control.
How long does ad review take in November?
Meta's Advertising Standards say review is typically completed within 24 hours, although it may take longer. TikTok's ad review FAQ says the same and adds that editing ad creative triggers a new review. Google's ad review page says most ads are reviewed within one business day, with complex reviews taking longer. Submitting by 15 November leaves five days to fix rejections before the 20 November target.
Creative volume
- Produce at least two angles per offer: the discount itself, and the product benefit with the discount as a supporting line.
- Cover each platform's formats: vertical video for TikTok, Reels and Snapchat; square and portrait statics for Meta feeds; native-style images with plain headlines for Taboola and Outbrain; Performance Max and Demand Gen assets for Google.
- Prepare a second wave for the weekend and a separate Cyber Monday set, so the last day does not look like a rerun.
- Name every asset with offer, angle, format and date, so rules and reports can find it later.
Bulk launch helps here: Wevion publishes the same set of ads across platforms in one pass instead of six Ads Managers. For a test structure, see how to launch a Q4 creative test across channels.
Catalogues
Check sale prices, availability and images in every feed: Meta Commerce Manager, Google Merchant Center, TikTok and Snapchat catalogues. Schedule the price switch so the catalogue updates before your ads go live, and flag products with thin stock. Our guides to Meta catalogue ads and Google Shopping ads cover the feed checks in detail.
Week 3 (16 to 22 November): budgets, scheduling and rules
Week 3 turns the plan into numbers that are already scheduled, so launch week needs no manual edits.
Budgets and pacing
Write the budget as a day-by-day schedule per platform, then use each platform's own tools to apply it in advance:
- Meta: budget scheduling raises a campaign or ad set budget for a period you set, as a fixed amount or a percentage. Meta averages daily budgets over the calendar week and says weekly spend will not exceed seven times the daily budget (daily budgets).
- Google: a seasonality adjustment tells Smart Bidding to expect a change in conversion rate; Google says it suits short events of one to seven days. Google also notes a campaign can spend up to twice its average daily budget on a given day. Since January 2026, campaign total budgets let Search, Performance Max and Shopping campaigns spend a fixed amount over set dates, in open beta.
- TikTok, Snapchat, Taboola and Outbrain: set the daily ceilings for each day of the event now, and note who changes them and when.
Here is a worked example for a hypothetical €20,000 BFCM budget on Meta: €1,000 a day from 20 to 26 November (€7,000), €2,500 a day from 27 to 29 November (€7,500), €3,000 on 30 November, and €2,500 left for retargeting from 1 to 5 December. Total: €20,000. For more pacing habits, see our budget pacing guide, and for bid caps under pressure, our Meta ads bid strategies guide.
Guardrail rules
Set rules before the event, not during it:
- Pause an ad set when spend passes a set amount with no purchases.
- Alert when cost per purchase rises above an agreed threshold for two checks in a row.
- Reduce budget when ROAS falls below a floor after a minimum spend.
In Wevion, automated rules check conditions every 30 minutes by default, or at any interval from 15 minutes to 24 hours. They act directly, pausing, activating or changing budgets by a percentage, or just notify you, with a cooldown and a daily cap on runs. Dry run shows what a rule would match right now before you switch it on. Cross-platform rules, which compare Meta, Google, TikTok and Taboola, are in beta. Early access and client reporting
Start early-access campaigns to email subscribers, past buyers and engaged audiences this week. They test the offer, the landing pages and the tracking at lower spend. Agree in writing what each client will see, a morning summary from 27 to 30 November and a wrap-up in early December, and fix the metrics now.
Launch week (23 to 26 November): switch on in steps
Launch week is for warming up and checking, not building. Launch the main sale campaigns a few days before Black Friday at moderate budgets, so they collect data before the peak.
- Confirm every ad is approved and every catalogue shows sale prices.
- Re-run one test purchase per platform after the site's sale changes go live.
- Check that rules are active and pointed at the right campaigns.
- Freeze creative edits from 25 November where you can, because edits can send ads back into review.
BFCM (27 to 30 November): watch, rotate, protect
The four days themselves reward discipline: watch agreed thresholds, rotate creative when it tires and keep money flowing to what works.
- Check performance at set times rather than constantly, and log each change with a reason.
- Rotate in the second wave when frequency rises and click-through drops, following your creative refresh workflow.
- Shift budget between platforms only when the gap is clear across several checks.
- Pause ads for sold-out products quickly.
Wevion connects Meta, Google, TikTok, Snapchat, Taboola and Outbrain through each platform's official API, syncs data about every 15 minutes and shows every account in one view, so a problem on one platform shows up without opening six Ads Managers.
When Wavo, the AI copilot, proposes a budget move or a pause, nothing changes until you confirm it. On Cyber Monday, switch to the separate creative set, retarget weekend cart abandoners and set an end time on every sale campaign so nothing keeps spending on an expired offer on Tuesday.
After the sale (1 to 14 December): exclusions and profit
The first two weeks of December decide whether BFCM bought customers or just discounted orders.
- Exclude buyers from prospecting and sale retargeting straight away.
- Retarget engaged non-buyers with a softer offer, bestsellers or gifting creative, following our retargeting strategy guide.
- Cross-sell to new buyers with accessories, replenishment or gift sets.
- Review profit by channel. Reported ROAS ignores discounts, shipping, fees and returns, which are larger after a sale. Wevion's profitability tracking, in beta, brings Shopify or WooCommerce orders next to ad spend. See why your ROAS does not match your profit.
- Write the client wrap-up while the details are fresh.
You can try Wevion on your own ad accounts before Black Friday with a 14-day trial on the Pro plan. No card to start. We ask for one on day 7, or earlier if you use up the trial credits, and billing starts on day 14 only if you add it.
Key takeaways
- Black Friday is 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday 30 November 2026; plan for about two weeks of higher activity.
- Week of 3 November: tracking, spending limits and payment methods. Week of 9 November: creative and ad review.
- Get sale ads approved by 20 November; Meta and TikTok typically review within 24 hours, Google within one business day.
- Schedule budgets in advance with Meta budget scheduling and Google seasonality adjustments, then set guardrail rules.
- After the sale, exclude buyers, retarget engaged non-buyers and judge channels on profit rather than reported ROAS.
