1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your preferences, keep you logged in, and understand how you interact with the service. Wevion also uses similar technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage to store preferences and session state. This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and storage technologies we use, why we use them, and how you can manage your preferences.

2. Cookies We Use

We categorize the cookies and storage technologies used on Wevion into four groups:

  • Authentication tokens: Required to keep you signed in securely
  • Session management: Maintains your active session state across page navigations
  • Language preference (mediabuyer-lang): Remembers your chosen display language
  • Cookie consent state: Records whether you have accepted or declined non-essential cookies
  • CSRF protection: Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks

  • PostHog (us.i.posthog.com): Tracks anonymized page views, feature usage, and session data to help us improve the product

  • wv_at: recognises where a signup came from, so we can credit the commission to whoever referred you. It records only the first link you arrived through. Duration: 7 days
  • wv_lm: for our use only, to measure how much time passes between a click and a signup. It attributes nothing and generates no payment. Duration: 12 months
  • wv_vt: set when your browser loads the image of one of our ads without you clicking it. Duration: 1 day
  • wv_nc: remembers that you chose not to be tracked, so we set no others. Duration: 12 months

You can object at any time from the Cookie Preferences page: the attribution cookies are removed from this browser and no others will be set. Later visits will not be linked to any invitation. If you have an account you can also ask us to remove the link between you and the invitation from our systems.

  • Even after you object, a click on a tracked link is still recorded on our servers as a visit, without being attributed to anyone
  • Along with the click we record the country, the device type and the referring page. Your IP address and browser are not kept in the clear: we keep only an encrypted fingerprint, which is deleted after 90 days

3. How to Manage Cookies

  • Cookie Preferences: Use the "Cookie Preferences" link in our website footer to change your consent settings at any time
  • Browser settings: Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their privacy settings. Note that blocking essential cookies may prevent the platform from functioning correctly
  • Clear storage: You can clear cookies and local storage for wevion.ai through your browser's developer tools or privacy settings to reset all preferences

4. Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services may set cookies or access storage on your device when you use Wevion:

  • PostHog (us.i.posthog.com): Product analytics. Only active with your consent. Data hosted in the US
  • Stripe (stripe.com): Payment processing. Stripe may set essential cookies during checkout to prevent fraud and process transactions securely

5. Cookie Consent

When you first visit Wevion, a cookie consent banner is displayed asking you to accept or decline non-essential cookies. Your choice is recorded with a timestamp and version number to maintain an audit trail. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the "Cookie Preferences" link in our website footer. Essential cookies are always active regardless of your consent choice, as they are required for the platform to function.
